Staying At The Top Of Your Game: Learn, Unlearn, Relearn
During my transition from the NFL, I decided to go back to school. After graduating with my MBA, I realized at that if I am going to continue to be successful as an entrepreneur I will have to continue to learn, unlearn, and re-learn things that keep me at the top of my game.
It was Malcolm Gladwell that stated in order to be successful in any field you have to put in 10,000 hours. While I’m not there yet I’m extremely excited to announce that during this year I was able to pass inline classes & attend the conferences I needed to receive my CFE certification, making me a “Certified Franchise Executive”. It is a distinction in the franchising world that shows you have a core understanding and knowledge on what it take for you to be a successful franchise executive.
What The CFE Means
The goal of receiving the CFE is that the people that are involving in franchising uphold the highest standards and training why performing on their duties. Like every industry, it is a benchmark for leaders in the franchising space, and while it is only the beginning of my education on the franchising world, it is an accomplishment that lets me know I am doing my part to further my knowledge base and be the best CEO & entrepreneur I can be.
What I didn’t realize before I enter into the restaurant space 5 years ago with Stacked Pickle— before ever thinking about franchising the concept was that there is a support system and network of individuals that help lead you to success in the industry.
I’m extremely excited to hold this distinction and I can assure you that this is the first of many accomplishments on my goal list.
