On this episode of #SuccessLeavesClues, I sit down with career-giver Rob Vaka, Director of Player Engagement at SignaturePro, a company helping pro athletes, entertainers, and high achievers transition to the professional/entrepreneurial space.
An All-American athlete, turned entrepreneur, turned giver, Rob has made it a mission of his to help other individuals live more confidently, fully, and purposefully. A New Jersey Native, Rob was a star Kicker for Middletown South High School before leaving the east coast for Springfield, OH where he would spent four years as the starting kicker at Wittenberg University. He achieved All-American Honors and was even invited for a few NFL workouts to cap a great career.
After football, Rob’s life took him through a great deal of twists and turns. From a start in the customer service space, to a stint in coaching, to the being able to double his income in a year, to overcoming adversity of the grimmest sort (you’ll have to listen to get the full scoop 👀), all of his accomplishments were the result of hard work & and the willingness to dedicate himself to continuous self improvement. One of my favorite quotes of the interview speaks to this in the sort of characteristically “head by the horns” way Rob takes control of his life:
“I really had to get my act together and take a step up because making 20 Grand, and volunteering to coach was not what I was put on this earth to do.”
Rob now spends his time positively influencing high performing individuals looking to impact the world in economic & philanthropic ways.
I learned a lot about the man and I know you will too. Take a listen to the full episode here:
